Ben Gomersall

Contributing Writer

Ben is a retired public school administrator living in El Paso, Texas, and married to Evaline. He is the father of two grown children and a practicing grandfather of two beautiful boys. Upon his retirement, he began writing self-paced Bible Study guides for those new to the faith and to date has completed twenty guides. Early in his religious life, Ben realized that he was responsible for the way that he lived. Organized religion held his attention, early, but was relegated to a supporting role when he realized that God communicates with each person in many different ways. Ben has divorced himself from the dogma of conservative religious thought and has been exploring man's unique relationship with a living and loving supreme being referred to as God.

As a trained historian Ben has concentrated his studies into three particular areas of interest. He has done active research into the American Trans Mississippi West, Texas, and World War II. The Civil War in Texas and Oklahoma, Ben's native state, has been taking center stage in his current research concerning the impact that the Indian Nation had on the war effort of both the North and South, from 1861-1865.
